About us

We are family owned and operated and believe everyone who enters our door is family. We enjoy keeping things simple and strive to deliver high quality service along with hot, fresh food. Our famous chili sauce was created years ago by our mother, Phyllis. She and my Father, Ed, owned and operated a small county store on Furnace Mountain. A few years after the closing of their store, we revived her recipe and opened Mr. Ed's. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Mommas chili is made fresh all day long and served over a steaming hotdog and topped with cheese and onions. Get them anyway you want them including slaw or jalapeños! The “SpaghEdi” Spaghetti is a popular favorite with Rich Buttery Spaghetti smothered with Mr. Ed's chili sauce and topped with shredded cheese and onions. We have daily Lunch and Soup specials. For a sweet treat, don't forget to try the Golden Delight! We also we bake our own brownies! Top off any meal with Grippo’s Potato Chips and Kentucky's own Ale-8 One soft drink.
